It sounds like some major rule changes are expected to come to college football for the upcoming season, all of which are already being used at the NFL level.
According to a report from Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports, the NCAA is in the process of approving three rules that will provide a significant change to the college game and make it look a little more like the NFL game.
“In a long-expected move, administrators on Friday are expected to finalize a recommendation for the adoption of a player-to-coach helmet communications system, the use of tablets on the sideline as well as in the halftime locker room and a two-minute warning in the college game,” Dellenger wrote for Yahoo Sports this week.
Obviously, these would be some pretty significant rule changes for college football, and they led to a lot of reactions on social media as a result.

It’s worth noting that these rule changes have not officially been approved yet, but it sounds like it’s only a matter of time.
“After two days of debate here this week, the NCAA Rules Committee is scheduled to vote on the changes in a recommendation to the NCAA Division I Council, which often rubber-stamps such decisions,” Dellenger wrote.
We’ll have to see how these changes impact the sport.
