The Baltimore Orioles got active in the MLB trade market on Tuesday. Ahead of the Trade Deadline, the Orioles made a move for a southpaw pitcher.
Baltimore will acquire LHP Trevor Rogers in a trade with the Miami Marlins. In exchange, the Orioles will send one of the team’s top prospects to Miami.
“The Baltimore Orioles are finalizing a deal to acquire left-hander Trevor Rogers from the Miami Marlins,” Jeff Passan wrote. “Infielder Connor NOrby and one other player are headed to Miami in the trade.”

Later, outfielder Kyle Stowers was reported to be the other player involved in the deal. According to MLB.com, Norby is the team’s fifth-best prospect.
The reaction to this deal centers solely on Baltimore, and the price they paid for Trevor Rogers. Many emerged to pan the Orioles for the deal they made on Tuesday afternoon.
Seriously…
The #Orioles giving up Norby and Stowers for Trevor Rogers is the worst deal I’ve seen since the PIT/TB Chris Archer trade.#Marlins

I need someone to talk me off the ledge because this is a really disappointing acquisition by the Orioles. Especially at that price point.

If this is what Trevor Rogers costs, you best believe Skubal was gonna cost Holliday, Mayo, Basallo, Kjerstad, Cowser, the warehouse, Adam Jones, and the centerfield bar.

Brother… If TREVOR ROGERS just got that return from the Orioles, the Giants need to be trading Blake Snell right now lol. We may be able to get the original copy of the Declaration of Independence for him
