Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is coaching the United States men’s basketball team at the Paris Olympic games this summer, which means that he will be coaching NBA legend LeBron James for the first time. And it sounds like he is already impressed by James’ work ethic.
During a recent press conference, Steve Kerr did not hold back his praise for LeBron James as he opened up about just how impressed he was with how hard the Los Angeles Lakers star practices.
“I was blown away by how hard he practices,” U.S. coach Steve Kerr said this week according to Fox News. “I went to Ty [Lue] and [Eric Spoelstra], and I said, ‘Is this normal?’ And they said, ‘Every day, every day.’ And then I said to Spo, ‘What about way back when you got him?’ And Spo said, ‘Every day, every drill, every walkthrough.'”
Obviously, Kerr has played against James several times during the regular season and in the NBA Finals over the past few years, but this is his first time actually coaching James as one of his players.
Needless to say, it sounds like Kerr is enjoying coaching the legendary player so far.
