On Friday afternoon, the Kansas City Chiefs got the chance to visit the White House to celebrate their second consecutive Super Bowl championship about a year after they visited Joe Biden at the White House last year. And during this year’s festivities, Biden offered Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce a special moment.
During last year’s festivities, Travis Kelce jokingly stepped up to the podium when Joe Biden was not looking as if he was going to say something to the crowd. Patrick Mahomes, seemingly playing along with the joke, ran to the podium and quickly pulled him away. So this year, Biden decided to lean into that joke from last year.
During his speech, Biden invited Kelce to the microphone to have his shining moment.

“Travis, come here,” Biden told Kelce. “It’s all you, pal.”
Kelce confidently walked up to the microphone with a smile and began to speak.
“My fellow Americans, it’s nice to see you all yet again,” Kelce said with a smile. But he quickly wrapped it up with a joke.
“I’m not gonna lie, President Biden, they told me if I came up here I would get tased,” Kelce said. “So I’m gonna go back to my spot, alright?”
The two then exchanged a handshake ask Kelce left the microphone to Biden.
It was a fun moment between the two iconic people.
