Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has not come out directly in support of either Donald Trump or Joe Biden ahead of the upcoming presidential election. But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t made it very clear which way he leans politically over the years.
Travis Kelce has not been terribly outspoken and direct when it comes to his political beliefs, particularly when it comes to who he supports in the presidential election. But when you read between the lines, as Andrew Holleran of The Spun points out, it’s pretty clear that Kelce leans left politically.
“Take a look at what Kelce has done,” Holleran wrote earlier this month.
- A commercial for the COVID-19 vaccine
- Endorsements for ‘woke’ Bud Light
- Appeared in socially progressive sketches on Saturday Night Live
- And back in 2017, he was one of the first white players to kneel for the national anthem
“Does that sound like someone who’s right leaning to you?”
Another item that Holleran could tack onto this list is that he is currently dating pop sensation Taylor Swift who has certainly not shied away from sharing her political views as she has spoken out against Donald Trump and actively endorsed several Democrats in elections.
It’s not clear whether Kelce will publicly endorse a candidate, but it’s pretty clear that he does not lean right politically.
