Ohio State Buckeyes star defensive tackle Tyleik Williams decided to return to Ohio State for one more season instead of entering the NFL Draft. And it sounds like he has high hopes for what Ohio State can be next season.
Williams was one of several Ohio State players who likely would have been selected in the first three rounds of the NFL Draft but instead decided to return to the team for one more season. Those decisions, coupled with a few positive changes to the defense has Williams offering some extremely bold predictions about how he thinks this upcoming season is going to play out.
“I don’t want to hype our heads too much, but I look at it like a legendary defense,” Williams said according to Garrick Hodge of Eleven Warriors. “We’ve got playmakers everywhere. The guys we brought back, we’re all dominant. So I feel like as a collective unit, we’re gonna be like unstoppable.”
In addition to all of the returning players, Ohio State also added former Alabama Crimson Tide star Caleb Downs, who is widely considered the top safety in the entire country.
We’ll have to see if this Ohio State defense lives up to the hype.
