Redskins rookie Derrius Guice says he’d accept an invite to Trump’s White House.

In a sports/political landscape where some football players are choosing to exercise their rights and refuse to attend the White House, Washington Redskins running back Derrius Guice is taking the opposite approach.

TMZ caught up with Guice, Washington’s second-round pick in 2018, and he explained he wouldn’t pass on the chance to attend a White House visit and meet President of the United States Donald Trump.

“I mean he’s running this country. Whatchu want me to do, hate a guy who’s running this country? I stay in my lane, he stay in his.”

“If I get the chance, yeah. That’s the chance of a lifetime,” Guice said … “They got a lot of history in that White House.”

Even if Guice disagrees with the nation’s current political climate, he values the chance to visit the White House over all else. I wouldn’t read into that meaning he supports everything going on in the country.

Just like other NFL players have the right to refuse attendance, Guice has every right to accept the invitation. Now, whether the Washington Redskins will win the Super Bowl and get the chance to visit the White House is an entirely different story.
