Aaron Feis’ football legacy continued at the NFL Draft day on Saturday.
Feis, an assistant football coach and a security guard at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, tragically died during a school shooting in February. Feis heroically used himself to shield students who were being shot at.
In honor of Feis, his sister Johanna Feis, surrounded by Stoneman Douglas football players, announced the Miami Dolphins fourth-round pick.

The Dolphins used the pick to select tight end Durham Smythe from Notre Dame.
Aaron Feis heroically sacrificed his own life to protect students. Unquestionably, he is deserving of being honored. Miami and the NFL did a great thing by involving Feis and Stoneman Douglas football players. Kudos to the league for the emotional moment. Some things are much bigger than football.
