The offseason can lead to trouble for a lot of athletes. Sometimes the trouble finds them. In Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Lucky Whitehead’s case, he just wants his dog back.
In an Instagram post, Whitehead explained that the dog was at a friends home while Whitehead was out of town. The dog was then stolen from the friend’s home.
Here is Whitehead said on his Instagram post:
I’ve taken some time to collect my thoughts on this subject matter, and it’s very heartbreaking to say that Blitz has been stolen from my home last Sunday. While out of town, Blitz was being taken care of by a close friend at my house and someone broke in and took him.Whoever stole Blitz has contacted my phone numerous times, demanding ransom money. I strongly advise you to stop and return my boy safely before it gets any worse!
If you know of any details regarding Blitz’s whereabouts or who may be involved in this, please contact me immediately.
This is more like the plot of a movie than it does an actual real world problem. All oddities aside, the guy just wants his dog Blitz back and for any dog owners out there, you know the feeling of being without your best canine companion.
I can’t imagine the stress Whitehead is dealing with as this jackass thief blackmails him into seeing his pup. Let’s hope that Whitehead gets Blitz back and fast.
