You got to give the Miami Dolphins credit. Not only did the Dolphins take the Denver Broncos down to the wire, but they also attempted this sweet onside kick at the end of the game.
Besides the kick itself being incredibly creative, the Dolphins also tried to outsmart the Broncos by having their punter — Brandon Fields — line up next to kicker Caleb Sturgis. Fields pretended to run towards the ball, then reversed his fields towards the left sideline. When Sturgis ran at the ball to kick it, nearly everyone assumed the ball was heading to the left.
It didn’t work, but that was a pretty sweet kick (and very soccer-esque). Props for trying.
