First it was San Antonio, now it appears the Oakland Raiders are exploring a return to L.A. as a way to deal with their lease on the Coliseum expiring after this upcoming season.
#Raiders owner Mark Davis; “I think we’d be well received if we ever moved back (to Los Angeles) #Raiders nation is strong in SoCal”

Apparently, while holding a joint practice (it didn’t go so well) with the Cowboys down in Oxnard, California, a fan yelled “Come back to L.A.” at Raiders owner Mark Davis. According to Lindsay Jones of USA Today, Davis responded by pumping his first.
Mark Davis walks on to field, Raiders fans cheer. “Come back to LA!” one guy yells. Davis pumps fist in the air.

The Raiders called L.A. home from 1982 to 1994. And, earlier this week, Magic Johnson predicted that L.A. would have a team within the next two years. Johnson is also co-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
So, are the Raiders considering moving to Los Angeles? Probably not. Instead, I’m willing to bet that all of this is being done as an attempt to gain another bargaining chip against Oakland. You know, just like how the Raiders are trying to use San Antonio as a bargaining chip.
