JUSTIN case you weren’t watching Monday Night Football, Ravens kicker Justin Tucker did something pretty incredible tonight against the Lions. He kicked six field goals, including a 61-yard game winner with less than a minute remaining to give the Ravens an 18-16 win at Ford Field.
As a result, his Wikipedia page was edited (it has since been restored) to correctly inform the world of the cojones Tucker so admirably grew this evening.
In addition to his performance tonight, Tucker is having a quite an impressive season overall for the offensively challenged Ravens. In the second game of the season Tucker missed both of his field goal attempts. He has since converted 32 consecutive attempts. Big balls, indeed, Mr. Tucker.
For the curious: the most field goals ever made in an NFL game is 8 and was accomplished by Rob Bironas for the Titans back in 2007.
[UPDATE: 12/17, 10:17] As one of our readers so kindly pointed out, Tucker is the first kicker in NFL history to kick a field goal from the 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+ yards in the same game.
