Yesterday, Graham Gano wanted to get in one last practice kick before the start of the second half of Carolina’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Unfortunately for Gano, the Bethune Cookman marching band was still on the field. In order to try and get in his last kick, Graham gently shoved a trombone player out of the way and the moment quickly became the most notable thing of the game.
After the game, Gano immediately got in contact with the trombone player, Marquel Ballard, and offered his apologies. Today, Gano tweeted out the following:
(1/4) I just spoke with my friend Marquel Ballard from Bethune-Cookmans marching band and all is forgiven!

That wasn’t all though. In getting to know Ballard, Gano also learned that Marquel is a Falcons fan. So, Graham made sure to get Ballard some tickets and field passes for when the Panthers take on the Falcons.
(2/4)We both laughed off the incident when the band came onto the field as I was kicking and he understood that we were both doing our jobs.

(3/4)He is an extremely talented trombonist who never skipped a beat yesterday which was very impressive! Since he's an @Atlanta_Falcons …

(4/4)…fan, I have offered him two tickets and field passes for our game in Atlanta.

You know a player is really sorry when they willingly hook up a fan of a rival team with tickets and field passes for a game.
