Ever since her arrival in the WNBA after she was selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark has led to a surge in attention for her team with sold-out arenas, much more attention on television, and much more media coverage. Obviously, her teammates have felt that, but it doesn’t sound like they’re bothered.
During a recent interview, Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell opened up a little bit about the surge in attention that she and her teammates have received since Caitlin Clark joined the roster, but it sounds like she thinks Clark is handing it quite well, and she’s unbothered by is, too.
“I think the same eyes were on her at Iowa, so I think she’s kind of like mastered how it’s supposed to go. Hats off to her for dealing with it. I think for us it’s obviously an adjustment,” Mitchell said according to Desert Wave Media.
“We’re new to Caitlin, and Caitlin is new to us, so it’s an adjustment as far as those eyes, but me personally, I’m fine.”
Obviously, Clark is the most popular rookie in the history of the game, and her teammates are happy to have her.
