Earlier this month, Connecticut Sun guard DiJonai Carrington caused quite a few headlines when she taunted and mocked Caitlin Clark during a game, and now she’s blasting the new WNBA fans that Clark has brought to the league.
Earlier this month during a game against Caitlin Clark and in the Indiana Fever, DiJonai Carrington was called for a blocking foul against Clark, and she quickly turned to the referee and mocked Clark, flailing her arms to imply that she thought Clark embellished the contact in order to draw a foul.
Naturally, Carrington’s antics during the game led to a lot of conversation, apparently causing Carrington to take to social media to call out some of the league’s newest fans – of “fAnS” as she called them, implying they aren’t really fans of the league.
Unfortunately for yall new fAnS, we do not just “shut up and dribble” here. Ya picked the wrong league 🙁🙁🙁

“Unfortunately for yall new fAnS, we do not just ‘shut up and dribble’ here. Ya picked the wrong league,” Carrington said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
Obviously, Clark has led to a surge in popularity for the WNBA, but Carrington does not appear to be all that willing to welcome those new fans to the league.
