On Thursday night, Caitlin Clark played the first home game of her WNBA career as her Indiana Fever in front of a packed crowd of more than 17,000 people as her team took on the New York Liberty. But it’s safe to say that the home debut did not go according to plan.

Caitlin Clark the Fever lost in an absolute blowout on Thursday night, falling by a final score of 102-66 as Clark was held to under 10 points scoring for the first time since early in her college career.

Clark finished the game with just nine points, seven rebounds, and six assists on a 2-of-8 shooting performance from the field. This marked the first time since January of 2021 – her freshman season at Iowa – that Clark was held to single digits.

Obviously, it’s pretty terrible news for Clark that she had such a brutal offensive showing in her regular season home debut for the Indiana Fever, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media as a result.

We’ll have to see if Clark can bounce back from this brutal performance this weekend as the Fever are set for a rematch with the New York Liberty on Saturday night.
