Indiana Fever rookie sensation Caitlin Clark routinely faces a lot of scrutiny and pressure given her status as one of the most famous athletes on the planet. And while she might be used to dealing with all of that, her parents aren’t. And it sounds like Clark is worried about them.
During a recent interview with Michael Lee of The Washington Post, Caitlin Clark admitted that she is a little bit worried about the what her parents might have to deal with as a result of her fame given that they are “regular people with feelings.”
“They see all this stuff, too. You have to remember, we’re regular people with feelings. My parents have feelings. It can definitely be hard at times,” Clark told The Washington Post.
“Honestly, I feel like I have a pretty good skill of blocking everything out. I think being in this position, you better have that skill, or else it’s going to break you at some point.”
Obviously, Clark has received a ton of newfound attention recently as she led Iowa to the national title game before she was selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. And it seems like she’s worried about how her family is handling it.
