Even though the USMNT lost and are now out of the World Cup, Wednesday probably felt like they won at least for Tim Howard and Clint Dempsey. President Obama called captain Clint Dempsey & goalkeeper Tim Howard to congratulate them on their showing at the World Cup, and the White House was kind enough to film the conversation.
This was the second call of the day for Tim Howard as Chuck Hagel, the United States’ Secretary of Defense to the world outside of Wikipedia, also called Howard to congratulate him and the USMNT on their performance during the World Cup.
