A New Zealand rugby match between The Blues and Highlanders this weekend featured a fantastic highlight tackle made by the Highlanders’ mascot, A.J. the Chicken. Andrew James who played the role of the chicken mascot had no problem tracking down a rogue streaker and taking him down to the ground.
Andrew spoke to 3 News about the incident:
“I noticed a streaker on the field and thought immediately, ‘This is no good, It’s our stadium and we’ve got to protect it’,” he says. “So I gave it my all, gunned it for the streaker and managed to chase him down.”
Other streakers should be on notice that Forsyth Barr Stadium is not the ideal spot to streak.
