Rory McIlroy has apparently been romantically linked to a whole host of women but he reportedly only spent New Year’s with one of them – Erica Stoll.
What makes this story so charming is that the two share a bit of a history together. Stoll is the PGA employee who saved Rory’s behind during the 2012 Ryder Cup. McIlroy almost missed his tee-time during the final day of the competition due to some confusion over the Cup’s scheduling. Stoll was the person who noticed that McIlroy was missing and she arranged for a police escort to get McIlroy to the Ryder Cup so that he wouldn’t be disqualified for showing up late.
The two have reportedly started dating recently and McIlroy flew Stoll out to Ireland to spend New Year’s with him.
After they enjoyed a stint in Dublin together, they are believed to have made a trip to Ashford Castle, where they celebrated New Year’s in lavish fashion at the plush venue.
During their stay in the capital, they took up residence in the penthouse of The Westbury Hotel, according to the Mail on Sunday and earlier in the week, he was spotted enjoying drinks at trendy hotspot Peruke & Periwig.
Their romance is still in the early stages as the couple have been quietly dating for nearly three months.
Yes, it sounds like something out of a movie. Check out some more photos of the woman who saved Rory’s Ryder Cup below.
