The Daily What describes this well:
The police car of PC Dan Pascoe is struck by a man driving a stolen vehicle, sending the officer flying.
Amazingly, Pascoe was able to regain his composure long enough to chase the perp and deploy his taser. According to the incident report, the PC then collapsed, and his fellow officers moved in to make the arrest.
Lee Adamson, the 29-year-old driver, was sentenced to 23 months in prison after pleading guilty to all charges.
“Thankfully PC Pascoe only sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision,” Inspector Chris Colley, Head of Surrey Police’s Roads Policing Unit, is quoted as saying.
