Paul actually died of natural causes, or so they would want you to believe.
Paul the Octopus, who amazed soccer fans by correctly predicting results at this year’s World Cup, died Tuesday and CS predicts foul play.
Paul had reached the octopus old age of 2½ years, which is 3 in human years, and passed away in his tank on Tuesday morning in an aquarium in the western German city of Oberhausen, spokeswoman Ariane Vieregge said.
OK Ariane, Paul just passed away magically of natural causes?!?! We don’t see that happening. HOWEVER, we do see a bit of foul play. Check out the video below which we unearthed.
This animal’s brief life is unlikely to be forgotten. A documentary has been filmed and books and toys are already planned for the Christmas market. “It’s a sad day. Paul was rather special but we managed to film Paul before he left this mortal earth,” said his agent, Chris Davies. A memorial is also currently being erected at the aquarium in his memory.
Sure Chris, Paul passed away magically after you had the documentary filmed, and you just happened to have a line of toys and books in the works. The memorial that is being built; I’m sure you won’t charge people to see it…
We strongly urge German authorities to take a closer look at this case immediately.
On a side note; not to be selfish AT ALL, but does anyone else think that Paul looks like he is covered in one giant Cosby Sweater? I’m just sayin’…
