Romelu Lukaku’s Everton debut was pretty damn surreal.
The Belgian star left it late against West Ham United on Saturday, scoring the game winning goal by emphatically heading the ball past Jussi Jaaskelainen to secure three huge points for the Toffees.
It sent the players into a frenzy, except for Lukaku that is. Team doctors rushed to the talisman’s aide as he lay on the ground dazed after coming together with West Ham defender Joey O’Brien. Lukaku lost consciousness for a moment and had no recollection of the play. Lukaku had to ask the team physio who scored the goal. He was shocked when he found out the answer was him.
