Atlante winger Jose ‘Gringo’ Castro suffered a gruesome leg injury during a match versus Jaguares last weekend in Mexico.
Castro was dribbling the ball down the right side of the pitch when he collided with Jaguares defender Omar Flors while trying to play a cross into the box. Castro kicked Flors’ foot and his right leg immediately snapped just above his ankle.
WARNING: This is not for the squeamish.
According to the Mexican Press, Castro had surgery the next day is expected to be out for at least three to four months.
