Former United States President Donald Trump is notoriously a prolific golfer, owning several golf courses and playing golf more than 140 times throughout his time in office. Naturally, someone who plays that often would be pretty good at the game, but some have accused Trump of cheating on the golf course. And Trump recently addressed those concerns.

In a recent post on Truth Social, Donald Trump claims to have won the Senior Club Championship at his Bedminster golf course, alleging that he shot an incredible score of 67 on one round.

“I am pleased to report, for those that care, that I just won the Senior Club Championship (must be over 50 years old!) at Bedminster (Trump National Golf Club), shooting a round of 67,” Trump wrote on Truth Social last week.

That’s an absolutely remarkable score, especially considering golf superstar Phil Mickelson post a score eight strokes worse just two weeks prior. And it naturally led some to doubt whether or not the former president was telling the truth.

Not only does Trump claim he wasn’t cheating or falsifying his score, he claims it would be nearly impossible for him to do so.

“Some people will think that sounds low, but there is no hanky/lanky,” Trump said of his score. “Many people watch, plus I am surrounded by Secret Service Agents. Not much you can do even if you wanted to, and I don’t. For some reason, I am just a good golfer/athlete – I have won many Club Championships, and it is always a great honor!”

So there you have it. The dozens of people who have played golf with Trump and told stories about his prolific cheating must have been lying.
