The Winter Olympics haven’t even started yet but they’re already flipping the script when it comes to beer.
After Labatt Blue – a Canadian beer company – announced that they would be releasing Team USA jersey cans for the Sochi Games, Budweiser – owned by a Belgian company but generally marketed as an American beer – is now providing the largest goal light in the world for Canada.
The light – nicknamed ‘Red Zeppelin’ – is basically a giant balloon that will fly over Canada and light up/blast a horn every time Canada scores a goal in Sochi.
The moral of the story? Green trumps red/white and red/white/blue. The good news is that if you like good beer, you won’t have to pick a side.
