Pacific
Los Angeles. Very little has changed about the Kings since we last saw them on the ice last season, hoisting the Cup for the second time in three years. The Pacific is extremely top-heavy; the Ducks and Sharks should be the only other two teams in this division to give the Kings a fight. San Jose is talented but, after another postseason collapse and an offseason full of bad decisions, I’m hesitant to put any faith in them. Anaheim added some more firepower to their front six with Ryan Kesler and Dany Heatley, but there isn’t a roster that I love more top-to-bottom than LAK. They’re so strong in all facets of the game that I’m willing to ignore the idea of any “Stanley Cup hangover.”
