Ladies and gentlemen, these are rare. Hockey goalie fights are so few and far between that we are only treated to a few true goalie fights across all levels of hockey each season.
During an AHL game between the Utica Comets and Binghamton Senators on Wednesday, Jacob Markstrom and Peter Mannino were very eager to join their teammates in a fight. The best part actually might be the announcer’s overwhelming enthusiasm in delivering play-by-play for both the initial scuffle and the battle between Markstrom and Mannino:
