The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to win their fourth Super Bowl since 2024. Their latest stop on the road to Super Bowl LIX was a clash against the Cincinnati Bengals at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs won the contest 26-25, after star quarterback Patrick Mahomes led the team down the field on the final drive of the season, setting up a field goal attempt to win as time expired. Kicker Harrison Butker nailed the attempt, pushing the Chiefs to 2-0.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t all good news in Kansas City.
Running back Isiah Pacheco went down with an injury and according to league insider Ian Rapoport, it’ll place him on Injured Reserve.

NFL fans weighed in on the injury on social media.
“Chiefs better hope Carson Steele can carry the workload,” one X user said.
“Prayers up big time for Pacheco. What a blow to the chiefs,” said another.
“Leonard Fournette to KC? I could see it. A true bruiser running back,” one fan speculated.
“Just sucks to see injuries man, regardless of teams,” someone chimed in.
This is a brutal loss for the Chiefs. Pacheco has picked up a significant part of the Chiefs offense as production has declined from tight end Travis Kelce.
The Chiefs’ first chance to see how the offense operates without Pacheco is Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.
