Tom Brady is set to begin his broadcast career with Fox this season, but he is also attempting to purchase a share of the Las Vegas Raiders franchise, which could set up a conflict of interest. But it doesn’t sound like that’s a problem just yet.
During a conference call with reporters this week, NFL Executive Vice President of Media Distribution Hans Schroeder said that Tom Brady will not be limited in which games he is allowed to call for Fox this upcoming season since he has not yet officially become an owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
“Right now, Tom’s not an owner of the Raiders, and as we go into this year, Tom’s able to call any game on the schedule,” Schroeder announced during the conference call, according to Pro Football Talk.
Obviously, this is a pretty significant decision from the league led to a lot of reactions on social media.
good to hear, maybe Joel Glazer can call a Seahawks-Lions game

Some NFL owners have concerns about Tom Brady's access to teams' practices and facilities as a Fox broadcaster if his deal for part-ownership of the Raiders is approved, sources have said. The question is whether the NFL would make a league-wide policy or leave it up to teams.

NFL's Hans Schroeder says on a media call that there won't be any restrictions on Tom Brady calling games involving the Raiders or anyone else for Fox. Brady is trying to buy a piece of the Raiders but the deal is in limbo

3 people care about this.
Doubt the Raiders are the #1 game on Fox very often in 2024.— Brent Johnson (@OUCats88) May 16, 2024
Tom Brady has bid for a minority stake in Las Vegas Raiders. Will that limit his broadcast options?
"Right now, Tom's not an owner of the Raiders," NFL COO Hans Schroeder just said on conference call. "As we go into this year, Tom is able to call any game on the schedule."

No restrictions on Tom Brady calling games as he's up for minority ownership status with #Raiders: 'Right now, Tom's not an owner of the Raiders," NFL broadcasting exec Hans Schroeder said. "As we go into this year, Tom is able to call any game on the schedule.'

No it isn’t, you are ridiculous. He is doing play by play of a sport, it’s not a conflict of interest. It’s play by play of an entertainment event

If Brady does ever become an owner, there could be more limitations placed on him. But for now, he will be able to call whichever game that he is assigned by Fox – including games that involve the Las Vegas Raiders or their division rivals.
