During Sunday night’s celebrity roast of NFL legend Tom Brady, the seven-time Super Bowl winner was hit with a barrage of jokes at his expense and he handled all of them quite well, taking no offense to the good fun. But one joke about New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft seemed to make him genuinely furious.
During Sunday night’s roast, comedian Jeff Ross referenced a time when Tom Brady told Robert Kraft “I’m the best decision your organization has ever made.” Ross then joked that Brady then said “Would you like a massage?”
Obviously, this is referencing Kraft’s 2019 arrest on misdemeanor charges of soliciting prostitution at a massage parlor. And Brady seemed to think this crossed a line, as he approached the podium and had some words for Ross.
“Don’t say that [stuff] again,” Brady whispered to Ross, though it was picked up by the microphones.
“OK, OK,” Ross said, but he defended himself a bit as he pointed to Kraft in the audience and said, “He’s having fun, look at him.”
Nothing seemed to be off limits throughout the rest of the roast, but it seems like this one specific joke was too much for Brady’s taste.
