It’s been widely assumed that the Denver Broncos were planning to part ways with former starting quarterback Russell Wilson this offseason after the team benched him for the final two games of the season. The team has not made an official decision about Wilson’s future with the team just yet, but it sounds like Wilson is not planning to be in Denver much longer.
According to a report from Thomas Gounley of The Denver Post, the nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback is planning to sell his Denver-area home.
“The most expensive home ever sold in the Denver area is quietly being shopped around,” Gounley wrote for the Denver Post this weekend. “Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson and singer-songwriter wife Ciara are accepting offers, and providing tours to prospective buyers, for the mansion they own in Cherry Hills Village, sources tell BusinessDen.”
Obviously, this is some pretty significant news as it indicates that Wilson is not planning to be back in Denver next season or for the foreseeable future. And as a result, people had a lot to say about the news on social media.

Maybe Russell Wilson can come to Miami and we can help with a 1031 Exchange.
Bet he could slide up into a sweet home here in South Florida…and maybe get a new job! Who knows. https://t.co/AlW4vV2Az1

We’ll have to see where Wilson ultimately ends up, but based on this move it’s pretty clear that it will not be with the Denver Broncos.
