The New York Giants may have signed veteran quarterback Daniel Jones to a contract extension before the start of the 2023 NFL season, but that isn’t stopping the team from expressing interest in potential young quarterbacks in the upcoming NFL Draft.
According to a report from league insider Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the New York Giants have decided to meet with LSU Tigers star Jayden Daniels as they prepare for the upcoming NFL Draft.
“#LSU QB and Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels is set to meet with the #Giants on Monday for a Top 30 visit, per @Agentbutler1. NYG continues to do the homework on the top QBs,” Rapoport said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

The New York Giants currently hold the No. 6 overall pick in the NFL Draft, and while it’s unlikely that the former Heisman Trophy winner will fall that far, the Giants have not ruled out the possibility of trading up in the draft if there is a player that they feel confident in.
We’ll have to see whether or not the Giants ultimately target Davis in the draft, but they’re at least going to meet with him.
