Even though longtime Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has led his team to the postseason once again this season, there have been a lot of rumors and speculation that he could be on the hot seat with the Steelers potentially looking to move on from him as their head coach. But one current star player is not buying that speculation.
According to Brook Pryor of ESPN, players find it “laughable” to suggest that Mike Tomlin could be on the hot seat, with star linebacker Myles Jack referring to his seat as “freezing” instead of hot.
“I’ve been on teams where it’s a real hot seat, and it is pretty much known that that person that’s there today ain’t going to be there next season … In my opinion, I would think [Tomlin’s current seat] was freezing, as cold as outside,” Jack told Pryor this week.

Tomlin has gone 17 consecutive seasons without a losing record – an NFL record as a head coach – and led his team to a Super Bowl championship in Super Bowl XLIII following the 2008 season.
He has a chance to add to his legacy and further bolster his job security this week with a game against the Buffalo Bills in the playoffs.
