Over the past several years, the hit television show Ted Lasso has captivated fans as the lovable college football coached-turned English soccer manager became a fan favorite and a viral sensation on social media. And it sounds like the series’ title character has made an impression on Jim Harbaugh.
During his introductory press conference after becoming the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers last week, Jim Harbaugh opened up about his affinity for Ted Lasso, admitting that he has tried to “emulate” the iconic character played by Jason Sudeikis. He also urged everyone to watch the show.
“There are some things that I’ve copied from Ted Lasso. I try to emulate Ted Lasso in a lot of ways. That TV show, that is one of the best. I think that there’s a life lesson in every one of those episodes. If you haven’t seen that show — a piece of advice, if I may — watch the Ted Lasso show,” Harbaugh said during his introductory press conference according to Pro Football Talk.
After just leading the Michigan Wolverines to a national title last month, Harbaugh is now returning to the NFL to pursue a Lombardi Trophy with the Chargers. And it sounds like he’ll be brining his Lasso-like coaching style with him.
