Taylor Swift Super Bowl Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce are one of the most influential celebrity couples on the planet right now. As the 2024 presidential election heats up, the two candidates will undoubtedly want support from the power couple, and it seems like Donald Trump has resorted to extreme measures to make it seem as though Swift and her followers did support him.

In a post on Truth Social this week, Donald Trump shared several screenshots of social media posts showing women wearing “Swifties for Trump” shirts – most of which were clearly AI-generated images. Trump also shared one screenshot from a satirical news article claiming that Swifties are “turning to Trump” after some of her recent concerts were canceled as a result of a terrorist threat.

To top it all off, the post also included an AI-generated image of Taylor Swift as Uncle Sam with the message “Taylor wants you to vote for Donald Trump.”

Obviously, this is all a lie – Swift does not support Trump and there is no widespread movement of her fans supporting him, either. But that didn’t stop Trump from sharing it on social media anyway.

“I accept!” he posted in response to the fake endorsement from her and her fans.

Needless to say, it’s a pretty clear lie from Trump and it led to a lot of reactions on social media.

Swift has not officially endorsed any candidate in the 2024 election, but she previously supported both Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton over Trump.
