Cleveland Browns franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered what the team called a shoulder contusion to his throwing arm in a Week 3 win against the Tennessee Titans.

Watson once played with a collapsed lung, so he and the Browns were adamant that the quarterback would play against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4. However, Watson was a surprise scratch as the Ravens roughed up the hapless Browns in the loss.

Watson and the Browns also contended that he’d be ready to play after the bye week against the San Francisco 49ers. Watson missed that game, too, though stand-in quarterback P.J. Walker did enough to help the Browns to victory over the previously undefeated 49ers.

Watson, however, returned to practice on Friday, and according to head coach Kevin Stefanski, looked good while throwing the football.

“I want to see how he responds over the next 48 hours based on that full workload that he just got,” Stefanski said, according to ESPN. “But he looked good today.”

Watson is now listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Colts.

“Just got to continue to take it day-to-day,” Watson said Wednesday. “I’m not going to put the team in jeopardy if I can’t do certain things that is going to allow us to be handicapped in certain situations. That’s the reason why I haven’t been able to step on the field.”
