The Dallas Cowboys were an embarrassment on Sunday.
The Cowboys suffered their worst loss of the season, a 47-9 routing from the Detroit Lions. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was a big part of the team’s struggles, finishing the game 17-for-33 with zero touchdowns and two interceptions.
Dak isn’t happy with how things are going in Dallas and spoke about the Cowboys’s struggles after the game with reporters.
“I mean, It was a tough day, in the sense,” Prescott said, via the NY Times, about his connection with star receiver CeeDee Lamb.
“It wasn’t just about me and CeeDee. Yeah, sure, there was one throw here, a route here, he would tell you. A protection not great on one. If I had the answer, I promise you, we’d be a lot better.”
The Cowboys have shown to be one of the worst teams in the league at running the football, and Prescott touched on that as well.
“Knowing the people that we have in the room — the experience and the type of guys that we have — we’ve got to be better. And then knowing that when you get that going, love play-action pass. Love play-action pass. So, then that opens up. So, there’s a lot when you get the run game going that you’re able to do off of that.”
Prescott is doing his best to keep his cool, but if things keep trending this way and he doesn’t get the help he needs it’s not hard to imagine a world where the star quarterback demands a trade.
