Cincinnati Bengals starting quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending wrist injury during a prime-time game against the Baltimore Ravens last season, but it sounds like his recovery is going well.
During the NFL’s annual league meetings this week, Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor met with the media and provided a pretty significant update on Joe Burrow, revealing that he is “right on schedule” and that the team is “encouraged” with the way that he has recovered from his injury.
“It’s positive,” Taylor said according to Brady Henderson of ESPN. “It’s right on schedule, and so we’re encouraged with everything we thought it was going to be and where he’s going to fit into our offseason.”
Even before the season-ending wrist injury, Burrow battled through injuries throughout the season after he suffered a calf injury during the beginning of camp and struggled through the injury even as the season began.
The Bengals will obviously want Burrow to be completely healthy this upcoming season as he has already proven that when he is healthy, he is one of the best and most dominant quarterbacks in the entire league.
We’ll have to see how his health progresses, but it sounds like everything is trending in the right direction.
