Cincinnati Bengals superstar quarterback Joe Burrow suffered what turned out to be a season-ending wrist injury during a game against the Baltimore Ravens in November, but it sounds like his recovery is going according to plan as the team heads into the offseason and starts preparing for next season.
During a press conference at the NFL Combine this week, Bengals director of personnel Duke Tobin gave an update on the recovery of Joe Burrow, indicating that his progress has been good.
“As far as I know, it’s going really well,” Tobin said according to Pro Football Talk. “He’s been around the building a lot, rehabbing. He’s Joe, so you know that a 100 percent effort is going to go into it. He’s focused on it. All the reports that we’ve gotten have been very positive, so we expect a full recovery and we expect him to continue being Joe.”
Obviously, Burrow’s health is a paramount concern for the team moving forward as he has already established himself as one of the most dominant quarterbacks in the entire league. We’ll have to see how he is able to recover this offseason and what he looks like when he returns to the field next season.
