By now it’s well known that Geno Smith waited a day longer than he expected to accomplish his dream of getting drafted into the NFL. He was given words of encouragement by the highest paid player in NFL history and decided to stay in New York City for Friday’s events instead of going home to pout.
Finally, the West Virginia quarterback was drafted in the second round by the New York Jets. As soon as Geno was selected, Twitter went all in on what the selection meant for current Jets starter, Mark Sanchez. The internet can be a mean, snarky little place. Here are some of those tweets.
