Scott Kelly has grown used to minimal human contact but the astronaut was still hoping for a few guests at his Super Bowl party on Sunday evening. Kelly lives with Russian astronaut Mikhail Korniyenko on the International Space Station and is 318 days into his year-long mission.
The pair had the privilege of watching the Super Bowl from space, albeit at 17,500 MPH and more than 250 miles away from Earth:
Got to see the #SuperBowl in person after all! But at 17,500MPH, it didn’t last long. #YearInSpace pic.twitter.com/O0DygOdX8i

He also hosted a party from the station, but was bummed when no one showed up, leaving all us all wondering why his Russian buddy bailed on him?
