It’s no real secret that Aaron Rodgers has an affinity for conspiracy theories, but most of the questionable things he believes have been relatively harmless. However, a recent report suggests that Rodgers once spread a dangerous and horrible lie denying the existence of the Sandy Hook tragedy that killed 20 children.

According to a CNN report from Jake Tapper on The Lead, Aaron Rodgers once berated CNN reporter Paula Brown while claiming that the Sandy Hook shooting “wasn’t real.”

“In 2013, when CNN’s Pamela Brown was covering the Kentucky Derby, she was introduced to Rodgers. Hearing that she was a journalist for CNN, Rodgers began attacking the news media for ‘covering up important stories,'” Tapper said. “Rodgers then brought up the Sandy Hook shooting and said the news media was intentionally ignoring that the shooting wasn’t real – that it was a government inside job.”

“I remind you that the shooting was very real, very tragic. 20 children and six adults were murdered that day,” Tapper said. “When Pamela Brown asked Aaron Rodgers for evidence of what he was talking about, Rodgers then began sharing various theories that have been disproven numerous times by evidence

“Rodgers falsely claimed that there were men in black in the woods by the school, and he asked if he thought that was odd,” Tapper said. “Brown said she found the entire encounter disturbing.”

Obviously, this is a horrible lie from Rodgers, and he was quickly blasted on social media as a result.

People clearly did not take kindly to this misinformation from Rodgers.
