The only thing cooler than a Dirk Nowitzki charity baseball game featuring Terrell Owens, Tony Romo and Monta Ellis (among others), is that the game helped raise $3.4 million for charity.

Dirk Nowitzki’s Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game took place on Saturday in Frisco, Texas. This is the thirteenth time the annual event has been held and the first time it has sold out. People love them some Dirk.

It is easy to see why the event sold out. The sight of Dirk Nowitzki running around in a baseball uniform and trying his damnedest to hit some home runs is the stuff of dreams, especially when he needs the Mavs mascot to help him out with his batting technique.

After all, if there is one thing that is guaranteed to bring joy to this world, it is the sight of Dirk Nowitzki trying out other sports.

There is no one in pro sports who is more endearingly awesome than Dirk. No one.
