Last time I checked, there wasn’t a snowstorm in Hotlanta, and it wasn’t raining frogs or locusts either, so what’s the excuse for this? I know it’s the Celtics, but the Hawks aren’t terrible. They’re 10-6 (after Tuesday night), which is good enough for third place in the crappy Eastern Conference. For as winless and terrible as the Sixers are, their fans actually keep showing up to games. The Hawks would have to make the NBA Finals for a game to sell out, and even then, half their games would probably be put on NBA TV because I think it’s actually mandated by the league’s television deal. Pathetic. And, even though the team is probably for sale, it would absolutely never move (to Seattle where people would show up to games) because Turner and NBA TV are based there, and it’d be weird if the league’s media epicenter didn’t have a team down the street. Which is almost as weird as Seattle not having a team. Sigh.
Hey, Hawks fans, here are some Kyle Korver highlights. You know, the guy who plays in your city who basically can’t miss from three-point range.
