Giants rookie pitcher Chris Heston managed to record a huge career milestone on Tuesday night against the New York Mets.
The 26 year-old (who actually debuted for the team last year) managed to throw a no-hitter. Heston’s no-hitter wasn’t the usual kind either. He would have had a perfect game if not for the fact that he hit three batters during the game. Heston didn’t walk a single batter and he also recorded 11 strikeouts.
As far as history goes, Heston is the first Giants pitcher to throw a no-hitter in a very, very long time.
3rd #SFGiants Rookie to throw a No-Hitter. The last one? Christy Matthewson 1912
