This isn’t what we would call a teaching moment. Today, Brendan Ryan singled on a ground ball through the left side of the infield. While it appeared to be a typical single at first, when looking at the instant replay, it’s pretty obvious that Ryan managed to make contact with the ball twice on just one swing of the bat.

The New York Yankees — getting base hits by hitting the ball twice while the rest of the league only gets one crack at the ball per swing. Yet another reason to hate them.
