Here is my top 10 college football rivalries. Yes they are all SEC teams. For me the SEC is college football.
10.Florida-Florida State.
The Florida Cup. The Gators lead the Noles 33-21-2. The oldest rivalry in the the stae of Florida.
9.Georgia-Georgia Tech
Clean old fashioned hate. The schools are only 70 miles apart. Bulldogs almost always dominate this 62-39-5. This one dates back to 1893.
8.Tennessee-Kentucky
The Vols have a 25 game win streak on this. Only Penn State’s @8 game streak over Temple is longer.
7.Kentucky-Louisville
Governor’s Cup. UK lead 14-10. Kentucky dominated the first six meetings starting in 1912, holding Louisville scoreless in all six meetings.
6.LSU- Alabama
Two words Nick Saban. LSU fans wont forget last seasons 21-0 defeat anytime soon. Or now they wont.
5.Arkansas-Texas
How could you forget The Game of the Century. This was once the best Rivalry in the nation. I think it can be again.
4.S. Carolina-Clemson
The Palmetto Bowl. Clemson sadly lead this series 65-40-4. This one goes back so far that Clemson wasn’t even a school.
3.Ole Miss- Miss St.
The Egg Bowl. People in Mississippi will enjoy this game… Ole Miss Leads 60-42-6. Until 1926 Ole Miss only won 5 out of 26.
2.Tennessee-Alabama
The Third Saturday in October. The Tide do Roll 48-38-7. the first game was played in 1901 and ended in a 6-6 tie.
1.Georgia-Florida
The Worlds Largest Cocktail Party. This will be in my top 10 of all sports rivalries. Georgia lead 48-40-2. I grew up in Georgia and was raised by Bulldog fans and ended up a Gator. The holidays are awkward.
