Pictured above is Craig Peacock of the Belfast Giants (Ireland’s Elite Ice Hockey League) following their game this past Saturday against the Fife Flyers. You might notice that Peacock’s upper lip is stitched up and a wee bit swollen. Why, you ask? Because Peacock took a skate to the face while checking an opponent over the boards, opening up a laceration above his top lip that required 29 stitches.
For those of you with weak stomachs, this is where you should probably call it a day and exit out of your Internet browser.
Peacock also tweeted out a picture of the cut BEFORE it was stitched up, and oh boy is it pretty nasty. You can see the photo below, but don’t say I didn’t warn you…
