Former United States President Donald Trump has never been shy about talking up his golf game, and thanks to LIV Golf superstar Bryson DeChambeau, he’ll now have a chance to show off his golf skills to benefit charity.

On Monday, Bryson DeChambeau announced on social media that he will be teaming up with Donald Trump in his Break 50 challenge where the two will try to break a score of 50. And for every stroke they score under par, they will be donating $10,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project.

“Break 50 with Donald Trump dropping tomorrow on my YouTube channel! On this special episode, we will be donating $10,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project for every stroke we score under par. Stay tuned,” DeChambeau said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

DeChambeau was quick to clarify that this was not meant to be a political statement, however, and that he would be honored to golf with any sitting or former president.

“To be clear, this is about golf and giving back to our nation’s veterans, not politics. A few weeks ago I reached out to both parties’ presidential campaigns and Donald Trump was down for the challenge. It is an incredible honor to be able to enjoy a round of golf with any sitting or former president, and all have an open invitation to join me for a round of Break 50 anytime,” DeChambeau said in a follow-up post.

Needless to say, this announcement led to a lot of reactions on social media.

We’ll have to see how Trump performs in the challenge.
